Drac Garcia Palacios - Catalonia, Spain - 28 of June
So, yes, my wish is been fulfilled, I did have the opportunity to travel, go inside of the culture, meet a lot of people, and do something meaningful like teaching English, which I think is really important for them, because gives the opportunity to read more, discover new worlds, travel, get better education, better jobs, and hopefully better lives. So I have to give many, many thanks to Info-Nepal for the big opportunity that they gave me. They are doing a really good job.

INFO Nepal has two sponsorship programmes available:

One programme is for children from very poor villages in Chitwan, Nawalparasi and Pokhara  to  stay with their families in their villages and  in order to receive a good education, attend the local Private school. This is called the Scholarship Programme

The second programme is for children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or in child labour situations, and now live at our “Happy Home” Children's Care House in Kathmandu.

INFO Nepal's Sponsor Children since 2002

From 2002 INFO Nepal has been sponsoring the following children:

Anjana Mahato
Anjana is 7 years old and studies in pre-nursery in Patihani English Boarding School. She lives with her parents, one older and one younger sister. They are a poor, landless Tharu family who survive by fishing in the Rapti River. Since 2004 INFO Nepal has been funding her education.

Sarita Bishwakarma
Sarita is 8 years old and studies in pre-nursery in Patihani English Boarding School. She lives with her parents, one older sister, one older brother and two younger sisters. They are also a very poor, lower caste family without land.

Anita & BikashTimilsana
Bikash is 8 years old and lives with his father and one sister Anita who is 13 years old. Their mother died five years ago as a result of a lightening strike. The family is very poor and the father health condition is not good. Bikash attends Sarad Primary School, Toripani, Sarangkot, Kaski District and studies in Class 3. Anita attends the same school and studies in class 7.

We are working in a partnership with ACDF Nepal a local organization in the area and these two children were recommended by the Chairman of the ACDF who is our Host Family and Coordinator for Pokhara.

Binita Bashyal
Binita has got an interesting life story. She was left in the jungle when only a few days old and was found by an old woman from Chormara village whilst out gathering wood one day. Now she is 5 years old and the woman and her husband are getting very old. Although they are unhappy to say that she is an orphan, they realize that they will be unable to care for her in the long term. They also both suffer from Asthma. This Girl was recommended by Mr. Bhoj Raj Pathak who is our Host Family and Coordinator for Nawalparasi.

Pratikshya Poudel
Pratikshya is 12 years old and studies in class 5 at Amar English Secondary Boarding School. She lives with her 3 older sisters, mother and grandparents. Her father went to work in Malaysia 5 years ago but has neither returned or  sent any money to support his family. This family is our host Family next to our Children’s Resource Centre in Nawalparasi, Soranumber. Since 2002 Pratikshya has been receiving a scholarship funded by INFO Nepal.

Ranju Pathak
Ranju is 14 years old and studies in class 9 at Shree Nepal Green Valley English Boarding School, in Chormara, Nawalparasi. She lives with her brother and sister and her parents.
